Small business: new opportunities in modern conditions
. Round table discussion was held at the Office of Public Communications at the Central Bank of Russian Federation. It was attended by members of the International Club "Business Partnership".

At the beginning of the event, participants of the club had a unique opportunity to visit the private museum of the Bank of Russia. Brief informative tour and inspection of rare exhibits ended with watching a film about the history and mission of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.



The business part of the meeting included a roundtable, moderated by Deputy Director of the Department – Head of the Department of Public Communications of the Department of International Cooperation and Public Communications of the Bank of Russia – Alla Borisenkova.





The keynote speaker was Michael Mamuta, Head of the Main Department of microfinance market and financial inclusion methodology of the Bank of Russia. The round table was also attended by the Executive Vice President of "SUPPORT of RUSSIA", Co-Chairman of the Committee on Women Entrepreneurship Development Maria Scherbatkina.
  
In his speech Mikhail Mamuta told about the current problems and plans of the Bank of Russia and its role in modern financial system of our country. He also noted that due to the economic crisis, when everyone is looking for ways to further the preservation and development of business in the conditions of low energy prices and the closure of foreign markets, we strongly need "internal growth drivers". And one of the main drivers should just be the small and medium business.

Then Michael outlined a number of measures, taken by the Bank of Russia, for creating more favorable financial environment for SMEs.

It's expected, that in 2016 banks will significantly increase its interest to lend to small and medium-sized businesses due to introducing stimulating factor weighing risk loan portfolio to SMEs on the bank's capital.

In 2015, it was also provided support to the real sector through the use of special tools of refinancing. Quality improvements in SMEs Microfinance services were introduced. And this support has received a positive response not only from the relevant business associations involved in the support of SMEs, but also from the Ministry of Economic Development Corporation and the development of SMEs.




After the speech of Mikhail Mamuta participants of the meeting actively asked questions and shared their views on the state of the financial market. The event ended with a coffee-break and photo session of all participants in the historical interiors of the Bank of Russia.
