This release is timed to coincide with International Museum Day, and is entirely devoted to the changes that are taking place today in the museum community. Topic of the issue - "Museum of the XXI century: the art of dialogue". We have offered CEOs of the most famous museums in Moscow to share their vision of change and tell what interesting is going on today in the cultural life of the capital and throughout the country. In this issue: MAGIC PLACES Kremlin Museums are the card of the country's cultural heritage. The first thing that all guests visit at the capital. A sacred, historical place. Does the interest to the history and museum values grow in the current generation of Russians, and what exhibitions we'll see this year? We've have asked the general director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Preserve "The Moscow Kremlin" Elena Gagarina. MARINA LOSHAK: MOST SIGNIFICANT CHANGES ARE MENTAL At one of the largest museums in the world - the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts - now comes the most ambitious for all its age-old history reconstruction. By 2020, at Volkhonka will grow a town where the museum will put a variety of platforms. But the construction and reconstruction are not the only changes that are taking place here today. About the Pushkin Museum says its director Marina Loshak. ZELFIRA TREGULOVA: "PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW WHAT THEY CAN BE PROUD OF" Modern museum has long been not just a repository of art treasures. The main characteristic that distinguishes today's museum from what we know it 20-30 years ago is a versatility. Over the past few months, the Tretyakov Gallery is in focus of public attention, there are many events that intertwine the different genres and art forms. But the most important achievement of the Tretyakov Gallery, sais its General Director Zelfira Tregulova, is that visitors feel that the atmosphere in the museum becames more friendly, it is open for a dialogue with the audience. ALEXEI LEVYKIN: "COMMON HISTORY MAKES US A UNITED NATION" Decree on establishment of the historical museum was signed by Alexander II February 9, 1872. Its official name until the 1917 revolution sounded as "Imperial Emperor behalf of Russian Historical Museum of Alexander III". The first exhibits of the museum became a rarity, evidence of the Crimean War. Today, the museum's collection - millions of artifacts that reflect the history and culture of Russia from ancient times to the present day. Director of the State Historical Museum Aleksei Levykin believes that priceless museum collections had long been "closely" in the old walls, and it requires a modern depository for the successful development . "PRIVATE EXHIBITION PLATFORMS ARE MORE INDEPENDENT AND MOBILE" In addition to federal and municipal museums in Moscow, there are many private exhibition spaces. We asked Maria Sokolova - entrepreneur, owner of the historic manor of Zubov on Taganka and a private art gallery of sculpture 9/1, to share views on the changes occurring in the contemporary cultural space.
